Peter Curtis Bowes, Jr., passed away on May 4, 2012, after a prolonged illness.
The family is planning a private memorial service to be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Peter was born on August, 13, 1975, in Amarillo, Texas. He attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1994. He attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Peter owned JR Towing, JR Welding and JR Motosports. Peter was a member of the Professional Bull Riders Association, an avid snow skier, a motocross rider and sponsor, as well as a lover of the outdoors.
He is pre-deceased by his mother, Diane Elizabeth Bowes.
Peter is survived by his wife, Melanie Taylor Bowes; three children, Aubrey Chase Steelman of Amarillo, Coble Renee Bowes of Howardwick, and Brody Channon Bowes of Amarillo; a stepson, Brayden James Taylor-Hardie of Amarillo; his father, Peter Curtis Bowes of Amarillo; and his sister, Ashley Bowes Cash of Midland.
