Patricia Ann Parkey

Patricia Ann Parkey was born August 6, 1939, the oldest daughter of Paul and Amy Romine in Muskogee, OK, passed away August 5, 2024.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Glen on April 16, 2023; and her siblings Pauline, Don and Gary Romine. 

She grew up in Cactus and Dumas, TX, and attended Dumas High School. She graduated in 1957 as a Dumas Demon cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. Pat attended West Texas State, (WTAMU), where she met the love of her life and husband of 64 years, Glen Parkey. She lived in Amarillo where she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served in the Junior League of Amarillo. 

Pat enjoyed tennis, traveling, her Mahjong circle of friends, and was a voracious reader of all topics. 

She is survived by her children, Paul Parkey (Fort Worth), April Sanchez (Austin) and Brooke Box and husband David Alford (Austin), her grandchildren Cole and Mallory Parkey, Sam Box, Dair Box and Nicholas Sanchez, and her great grandson, Wilks Parkey. 

The family would like to thank and acknowledge the loving care from Lenox and Rebecca Archie, Lanny and Lenny Shrubs, LJ Archie, Zaedyn Wall, and Shawn Morris.
