She fought a very gracious battle with cancer and was an inspiration to us all.  Pat was born in Alva, Oklahoma to the late J.E. and Irene Davis on December 19, 1932.  She was married to her late husband, Robert M. “Bob” Johnson of Amarillo, TX for 55 years, raised four children, and was the bookkeeper for their business, Smyth Auto Supply.  Pat was a many faceted woman … she was an entrepreneur, good business woman, investor, decorator, and had a very loving and generous heart. She had an amazing talent of making a house a home. She loved people and has friends in Amarillo, Padre Island, Colorado, Dallas, and everywhere in between.  Pat was a very down to earth woman; she did not adorn herself with baubles and beads, but wore jeans and tennis shoes most of the time and of course the famous white shirt!  Pat was also a spiritual woman; she and her children attended church at First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo.  She loved her church in Tin Cup, Colorado, where she was good friends with the Pastor Newt Cole and his late wife Linda.  She also attended a ladies’ bible study in Colorado with several of her dear friends. Pat was remarried in March 2009 to Robert “Bob” Welch of Carrollton, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Lyn Brown, Nan Kennedy and husband, Stan, Matt Johnson, Lou Ann Lisby and husband, Rowdy; step-children, Ryan Welch and wife, Erika, Wendy Henderson and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Shaun Brown and wife, Julie, Jason Brown and wife, Ashley, Dylon Brown, Kelly Dressler and husband, John, Michael Kennedy, Hallie Johnson, Claire Johnson, Erin Doggett and husband, Cris, Cole Lisby and wife, Samantha, Tyler Lisby; step-grandchildren, Jacob and Noah Welch; great-grandchildren, Collin Brown and wife, Kinsey, Cylar Brown, Kennady Brown, Sarah Brown, Will Brown, Garrett Dressler, Katie Dressler, Connor Lisby; great-great-grandchild, Parker Brown; brother, Jack Davis of Amarillo; sisters-in-law, Dale Webb of Tulsa, Oklahoma, the late Dorothy Davis of Amarillo, and Betty Welch of Tyler, Texas; brothers-in-law, the late Carroll Webb of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bill Welch and wife, Elena, and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Pat was devoted to her family and many friends. She was full of grace and was a joy to be around. She will be missed by so many and leaves us with countless memories. She and her husband Bob spent summers in Colorado and led a very active life. Her interests included bridge, golf, fishing, and riding in the jeep with her husband and dog, Zeke.
