Minnie Neoma Wyatt, 97 of Dumas died on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
Memorial services will be held on December 5th at 2:00pm at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Neoma was born on January 11, 1927 in Lamesa, Texas to Joe Pounds and Annie Lane Pounds. She was the youngest of seven children. She grew up in Texas and was raised by her mother and her Uncle Chap.
She married Samuel Lee Wyatt in 1946 and moved to Colorado. She was a rancher's wife until Sam passed away in 1993. She moved to Dumas 25 years ago and worked for Kay's Fashion Corner and Houlette Real Estate. She was recognized as "Realtor of the Year" in Dumas, TX at the age of 85.
Neoma loved to work in her yard and take care of her house. She was a great golfer. She loved her children, grandchildren and extended family unconditionally. She was deeply loved by many.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Ann "Dee Dee" O'Brien and husband Jim of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Lonnie Wyatt and wife Madonna of Sanford, TX; and five grandchildren: Chelsea, Megan, Wyatt, Sam and Tyler.
