Myrlon A. Monden, 88, of Amarillo died Sunday, November 25, 2018.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Liberal, Kansas with Brady McAlister officiating. Military honors are provided by the US Navy. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Monden was born April 15, 1930, in Turpin, Oklahoma to Jay and Clemmie Monden. He was a Navy veteran as and served during the Korean War. Myrlon married Mary Heckle on April 15, 1956, in Liberal, Kansas.
For thirty-two years, Mr. Monden worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company retiring as assistant superintendant of well testing. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Monden, of the home; two sons, Bret Monden, of Lake Forest, California, and Bart Monden and wife Rebecca, of Omaha, Nebraska; and four grandchildren, Jessica, Emma, Jared, and Blake.
Viewing will be from 4-7:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018, at the funeral home.
