Mike Johnson

Mike Johnson, age 68, died at his home in Borger, TX on July 4, 2023.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, especially around a campfire while visiting with his sister, his mom, and brother, and extended family.  His numerous nephews, nieces, and great-nephews also loved going with Uncle Mike on camping excursions.  He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV and relaxing at home, and spoiling the little children in the family.  He is already greatly missed.

After graduating from Tascosa High School, he studied Auto Mechanics at Amarillo College.  He held various jobs before finding his calling as a truck driver.  He drove trucks for several different companies all across the United States.  In his later years, he was employed by Family Camping Services where he often shared new product ideas with his family to better their RV experience.

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Willie Johnson; his wife, Charlotte Johnson in 2004; wife Nancy Johnson in 2021; and his father, AJ Baker in January 2023.

He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Baker, Amarillo, TX; brother, Randy Johnson and spouse Martha of Fritch, TX; sister, Kari Schneider and spouse Todd, of Lake Sandspur, TX; sister, Carmelita Mangum and spouse George of Pulaski, MS; sister, Rosanna Reed of Portland, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces, and his step-son, John Simonds and girlfriend Misty of Mineral Bluff, GA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel on August 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Sam Johnson, nephew, officiating.  His ashes will be scattered at a later date by his family.
