Michelle Moylan Quinto (b. Dec. 25, 1943, y Aug. 13, 2018) died on Monday, Aug. 13 after a brief illness.
The Holy Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel and a Catholic Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Michelle was a registered nurse. Her career spanned 45 years of practice at hospitals in Philadelphia, San Francisco and Amarillo. She also did graduate studies for a number of years in European history at WTA&M, specifically in the history of the Middle Ages. Her interest in the subject continued throughout her life.
Michelle’s other interests included counted cross-stitch and the art of quilt making for which she won many awards. Michelle was president of the American Sewing Guild, Amarillo chapter and was also a member of the Piece-makers Quilting Club. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and served as its treasurer. Her parish was St. Martin dePorres.
Michelle’s life was spent in the service of others and to many of those who knew her, there will always be an emptiness felt deep inside never to be filled.
Survivors include her husband Al Quinto, a sister Sharon Moylan, her brothers John, Patrick and Edward Moylan and her nephew Stephen Moylan. Eternal Memory!
