Michael Ray Williams

Michael Ray Williams, 73, of Amarillo, TX passed away December 18, 2024.

Visitation will be from 3-4:30 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 27, 2024 at Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Michael was born May 8, 1951 in Amarillo, TX to Elsie and Pete Williams. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Michael married Barbara Lokker on December 26, 1973. Together they were married just shy of 51 years. Michael worked as a locomotive engineer for BNSF Railway, formerly ATSF. He was an avid golfer and liked reloading shells. Michael was always very patriotic and was a great leader to his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his brother, Chris Williams. 

Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams; children, Michael P. Williams (Traci) of Amarillo, TX, Steven R. Williams (Candice) of Canyon, TX, and Carina M. Williams Cowan of Lubbock, TX; brother, Patrick “Pat” Williams of Houston, TX; and grandchildren, Riggs, Eavi, Lily, Garret, Preston, Armina, Layla, and Jaycie.
