S, and tools…so many tools!

Mike lived life on his own terms and never pretended to be someone he was not.  He was a complex man, known as “The Candy Man” to the trash men in his neighborhood but questioning multiple entries on a receipt for 69 cents.  Mike was always there for friends and family and was able to fix anything.  Mike had an unusual sense of humor, could not resist a dare, and loved making people laugh.  Mike loved family gatherings and delighted in having the house full of friends and family.  He doted on his grandchildren, never missing the ice cream man and supplying them with never-ending mischief, laughter, pizza, soda, and candy.  He was the ultimate instigator and prankster!

Mike is survived by his wife, Jeannine; children: SMSgt (ret.) Michael (Mary), Brooke (Roger), James, Brittany (Joe), Larry (Curina), Lisa (Steve), Justin (Angela), Jonathan, Michael and Dwayne (Deja).  He was “Pa” to his grandchildren: Kaydee (Alex), Bonnie, Brenden, Brandon, Haylee, Malachi, Jacob, Blake, Brylee, Sarah, Evin, Ayla, Bradley, Ethan, Aili, Avery, Dylan and Draxton.

He is also survived by his siblings Linda and husband David, Cathy and husband Marshall, and Charles  and wife Denise, nieces and nephews, and the cat that loved him above all others, Bob.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Brayden.

Charities Mike supported included Wounded Warriors, Faith City Mission, and Disabled American Vets.  The family would like to give special thanks to the teams at BSA Hospice of the Southwest and Giving Home Health Care for taking such loving care of Mike.
