Melba Mary Sigmon, 95, of Amarillo died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Murray Gossett officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Melba was born July 1, 1917, in Lockney to Earl and Lela Simpson. She was a key punch operator for American Quarter Horse Association.
Melba was married to Earl Green from 1964 to 1995. She married Howard Sigmon in 1996 in Amarillo. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Green; a sister, Juanita Sigmon; and a son, Michael Owens.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Sigmon; a daughter, Mary Deane Sipes and husband Tony of Amarillo; two stepsons, Ron Green and wife Terri of Oklahoma City and John Green of Thornton, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Monica Bland and husband Quentin, Melissa Horrell and husband Thomas, Allison Clark, Amy Owens, Adam Owens and wife Hailey, Rebecca Owens, John Green and wife Melissa, Michael Green and wife Cara and Robert Green and wife Courtney; a cousin, Mary Alice Gonzales; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to First Presbyterian Church, 1100 S. Harrison St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
