Maurine (Reese) Gayle Aguilar

Maurine (Reese) Gayle Aguilar passed on April 03, 2022, her 96th birthday. She was born on April 03, 1926, to Sallie and Jake Reese in Wetumka, Oklahoma. She started her education in Oklahoma. She went to O.U. and there met her future husband John R. Gayle, Jr. They were married and their union produced two sons, John Michael Gayle and Steven Reese Gayle.

Maurine and her family lived in Texas, Arizona and California and also lived in India for several years. On return they lived in Palo Alto, California. Maurine was an avid traveler, and accomplished seamstress, a Duplicate Bridge player, a voracious golfer, and accomplished pianist and also had a beautiful soprano voice. She was a singer in her church choirs for most of her teen and adult life. In Palo Alto she also worked for the Palo Alto Times as their legal secretary.

She visited all seven continents of this earth and many different countries. Her travels were broad, and she enjoyed traveling very much.

She is survived by her sons, John Michael Gayle of Costa Rica and Steven Reese Gayle and wife, Mary Carol, of Hana, Hawaii, her brother John Paul (JP) Reese of Amarillo, TX.
