Mary Louise Morrison Guinn, age 86, of Amarillo, TX died Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Murray Gossett officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Marilou was born April 26, 1938, in Amarillo, TX to J.C. and Lathelle Morrison. She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended the University of Arizona.

She married Arden E. Guinn in 1958, in Amarillo, TX. 

Her working career began as an administrative assistant and endured for thirty-five years at Santa Fe Railroad. During those years, she and Arden adopted their children, Tracy and Christopher. Marilou also worked as a relief legal secretary at Edward Jones until retirement.

Since 1962, Marilou was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Amarillo Women’s Network, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Symphony Guild.

Marilou was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Guinn; daughter, Tracy Guinn; grandson, Jamison Guinn; son, Christopher Guinn; her sister, Rhea Nell Morrison, and brothers, Jimmy Morrison and David Gordon Morrison.

Survivors include her two brothers, Bryan Morrison and Michael Morrison; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Hulsey, DeAnne Morrison, Juli Morrison, and Maureen Morrison; several beloved nieces and nephews; and many friends including her close friend, Bill Briggs.

In lieu of flowers, Marilou requested memorial donations to Al-Anon Family Groups; or to First Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund.
