Mark Elton McCool, 54, of Amarillo, TX passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S. Georgia, Amarillo, TX. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home in Amarillo.
Mark was born on May 9, 1970, to Kenneth Ward McCool and Betty Lou Hurst McCool Noltensmeier.
He attended Eastridge Elementary, Travis Junior High, Bowie Junior High and graduated from Caprock High School. He served six years in the United States Army Airborne. He worked for Golden Light Equipment, was the maintenance man at Independence Village for ten years and was most recently a technician for True Star Petroleum Corporation.
Mark loved to cook, and he loved to fish and explore the outdoors.
He loved animals and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Teressa Michelle McCool in November of 2024; father, Kenneth McCool; his dad, Glen Noltensmeier; brother, Mike McCool; and nephew, Christopher Rowland.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Destiny McCool, Jennifer Foster, and Trisha Sanchez; his stepdaughter, Leanna O’Grady; his mother, Betty Noltensmeier; two sisters, Kenni Watkins and Laurie Akins; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
