Margaret "Peggy" Hall

Margaret (Peggy) Hall, 97, of Amarillo, TX died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. 

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2024 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2525 Wimberly Rd. with Will Esler officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Peggy was born March 25, 1927 in Dallas, TX to Kathleen and Terry Leeman. She grew up in Dallas, and attended Southern Methodist University before meeting the love of her life, Vance L. Hall. Vance and Peggy were married June 17, 1947. They moved to Amarillo and opened Vance Hall Sporting Goods, and enjoyed the business together for many years. 

Peggy lived a long, full life, enjoying all Amarillo brought to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Peggy loved playing tennis and golf, and did so until a few years ago. Peggy became an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church after her husband passed away 14 years ago. She found a new church home, and precious friends, at Westminster. Peggy was on kitchen duty every Wednesday night, and ushered every Sunday morning. She professed a strong belief in the Lord, and gave her all to her five children, and loved each grandchild and great- grandchild to the fullest. Peggy was a go-getter right until the very end, and she will be dearly missed by so many. 

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Vance L. Hall, her parents, twin sister Patsy, brother Edwin, daughter Karen, and her son-in-law Duke Roush. 

Survivors include her children, Don Hall and wife Jane, Vance E. Hall and wife Kim, Bobby Hall and wife Kristi, Donna Hall Sellers, and Cheryl Roush. Grandchildren: Vance W. Hall and wife Kaitlin, Andrew Hall and wife Lauren, Brett Hall and wife Emily, Layton Martin and husband Brandt, Ashley Roush, Sarah Sellers, Lindsey Roush and husband Art, Amanda Armstrong and husband Adam, Justin Paeltz and wife Kara, and 12 great-grandchildren.
