Margaret L. Wetsel Whaley – May 11, 2012

Margaret L. Wetsel Whaley, 84, of Vega, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Christ’s Community Fellowship Church in Vega with Minister John Henley officiating.  Private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega, 110 S. Main.
Margaret was born July 21, 1927, in Clay County, Texas.  She married Dean Whaley on March 31, 1946 in Oldham County.  They were married 39 years until his passing in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Dovie and Otto Wetsel, a brother James Wetsel, and a sister Wyneth Burks.
Margaret is survived by two sons, James Whaley and wife Linda of Vega and Dean Whaley, Jr. and wife Debbie of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, John Whaley and wife Darla of Amarillo; Jim Whaley and wife April of Prague, OK; Janna Whaley and Grayson Benson of Amarillo; Aaron Ball of Plano; Shonnie Ball of Washington, DC; Dionne Whaley Lott and husband Randy of Longview; Dustin Whaley of Vega; and Damon Whaley of Dalhart; 13 great-grandchildren, Zack, Zane, Wade, Grant, Victoria, Ashlee, Debbie, Cheyenne, Averie, Blakely, Natalie, Karson and Keller; two great-great-grandchildren, Caden and Hazlie; a sister, Jo Sides and husband Gerald Ray of Vega; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
The family suggests memorials be to Vega EMS, Vega, Texas 79092, or a favorite charity.
Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m-7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Boxwell Brothers in Vega.
