Loretta Baca

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of, Loretta Baca, 62, of Amarillo, TX, who was called home on Monday, March 3, 2025. Born on March 7, 1962, in Tucumcari, NM, she was the beloved daughter of Antonio Leopoldo and Gloria Dolores Baca.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. (CST), on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, TX. Burial services will be at 2:00 p.m. (MST) in Tucumcari, NM, at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Although a tragic accident left her paralyzed at the young age of 17, she never let her disability keep her from enjoying and living life to the fullest. Loretta was a light in the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of profound faith, gentle kindness, and radiated pure positivity.

She found joy in life's simple treasures- coloring, crocheting, reading the Bible, just to name a few, but nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by her loved ones.

Loretta was preceded in death by her brother Antonio Manuel Baca and her father Antonio Leopoldo Baca, who welcomed her home into eternity.

Loretta's legacy of love continues through her loving family.

Her daughter, Antionette LaDawn Baca, of Amarillo ,TX, her mother, Gloria Dolores Baca, of Amarillo, TX, her sister Phyllis Aragon and husband Lorenzo, of Jacksonville, FL, her brother Lawrence Baca and wife Gwen, of Amarillo, TX, her brother Richard Baca, of Amarillo, TX, three grandchildren, Ashley Baca, Aryanna Zimmerman and Paul Pennebecker, as well as two precious great-grandchildren, Apple and Archer Verjarano, who were pride and joy, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Though we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing her love and spirit will remain with us always.
