Lorene Ratliff Bradford Cox, 96, of Amarillo, TX passed away February 12, 2024.
Visitation will be from 6-7:00 PM, Friday, February 16, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024 at First Baptist Church, 1208 S. Tyler with Dr. Howard K. Batson, Pastor and Matt Price, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Dumas as officiants. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM, in Northlawn Cemetery in Dumas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Lorene was born October 25, 1927 in Duke, OK to Andy and Jennie Ratliff. She graduated from Duke High School in Duke, OK. Lorene worked for many years at the Hutchinson County Judge’s office and later the District Attorney’s office in Moore County. Lorene was the last living sibling of 9. She loved to play bridge and participate in the activities at Park Place Towers. Lorene was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Orvil Clay Bradford; her second husband, Calvin Cox; and son in law, John Jowell.
Lorene is survived by daughter, Belva Jowell of Dumas, TX; son, Marcus Bradford and wife Jill of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Amy Jowell and Chastity Yarberry of Dallas, TX, Marla Wilson and husband Shawn of Dallas, TX, Mika Daniels and husband Matt of Amarillo, TX, and Clay Bradford and wife Bailey of Little Rock, AR; and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Aidan, Ford, Cash, Brealynn, Judah, Dylan, and Andy.
