Linda Lou Spies (née Gipson), aged 76, of Amarillo, Texas, entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on May 20, 1947, in Bevier, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of the late Johnnie Grant Gipson and Harline Ruth Page, and the beloved wife of the late Dennis Joseph Spies.

Linda's memory will be treasured by her loving family, including her daughter, Cynthia Cordova and her husband, Fred; her daughter, Barbara Rolland; and her son, Scott Parker. She is also survived by her children's father, Richard Parker, and his spouse, Carolyn, with whom Linda jokingly referred as her wife in law. She had a special place in her heart for family member Troy Rolland. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. Grandchildren include Kristen Thomas, Reign Parker, Brandie Velasquez and her husband, Richard, Marcella Keith and her husband Zack, Thomas Parker, Ozzie Parker, Candy Cordova and Kristiny Breaux.

Linda was an animal lover and will have many furry friends awaiting her heavenly arrival. Renowned for her culinary skills, Linda's kitchen was the heart of many joyous gatherings, and her generosity knew no bounds, especially during the holiday seasons.

A respected entrepreneur, Linda’s work ethic and dedication were cornerstones of her successful business ventures.

As a mother, Linda imparted a sense of worth to each of her children, celebrating their individual talents and offering unwavering support and prayer throughout their lives.

An enthusiast of the Kentucky Derby, Linda’s passion for the event was matched only by her elegance and spirit. Having fulfilled her dream of attending the Derby, she now crosses the ultimate finish line into the loving embrace of her Savior.

A memorial service to honor Linda’s life will be held May 24th at 3:00 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. 2800 Paramount Blvd Amarillo TX 79109.
