Linda K. Allen – July 30, 2017

Linda K. Allen, 72, of Amarillo died Sunday, July 30, 2017.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Carl Hamilton and LaRon Branson officiating.   Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Linda died after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  She was born in Spokane, Wash. on Aug. 3, 1944 and was raised in the Plainview and Dimmitt area.
Linda met Larry Allen in Dimmitt in 1959 and they married in Juarez, Mexico on Feb. 29, 1960.  They enjoyed 57 wonderful years together.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Allen, of Amarillo; a son, David Allen and wife Melissa, of Springer, NM; a daughter, Susan Bassett and husband Arnold, of Amarillo; two sisters, Keith Ann Gearn and Jeanette Browning; six grandchildren, Chandler Bassett, Aimee Bassett, Shaina Francis, Kathy Lausten, Jennifer Allen and Lane Allen; and 4 great-grandchildren, Addie, Chase, Lacey and Lucas.

    Linda was always such a sweet soul and a beautiful woman. I have wonderful memories of her from our high school days that I will cherish. She will be missed by all. Sending prayers of comfort and peace to the Allen family.

    Larry and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. We can’t be with you for the service but will be thinking of you. We heard so much as convention about what we have to look forward to when we serve the Lord. We trust she is in a better place.
