Lilian “Dill” Mary Bearden

Lilian “Dill” Mary Bearden, 89, of Amarillo, Texas was peacefully called home June 9, 2023.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Dill was born March 22, 1934, to Henry Thomas Petitt and Beatrice Mary Draycott Petitt in Teddington, England.

Dill married Air Force Staff Sargent Kenneth M. Bearden on August 14, 1954 in Teddingon, England.

Dill is survived by her husband, of 68 years, Kenneth, of the home; two children, James Bearden and wife Melissa of Amarillo and Sandra Brockwell and husband Randy of Oakland, Tennessee;  seven grandchildren, Lee Bearden and wife Manda of Round Rock, Texas; Chelsea Cole and husband Taylor of Canyon, Texas; Elizabeth Varner and Charlie of Burleson, Texas; Kyle Jefferson and Kelly of Lakewood, Washington; William Brockwell of Oakland, Tennessee; Jake Brockwell and wife Ashton of League City, Texas; Alley Zimmerman and husband Parker of Lakeland, Tennessee; and nine great-grandchildren with one on-the-way;  two brothers, Raymond Petitt of Amarillo, Texas; Ronald Petitt and wife Patty of the United Kingdom; and her sister, Carol Farrer and husband Roy of the United Kingdom.

Dill was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ken, of the United Kingdom, two children, Deborah Hoover and Robert Bearden.
