Leuane Vongkhamphra

Leuane Vongkhamphra, 81, of Amarillo, TX passed away January 26, 2025 at Northwest Texas Hospital. 

Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025 at First Baptist Church, 1208 Tyler. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Leuane was born August 10, 1943 in Savannakhet Laos to Fanh Vongsrirugsa and Sim Kouth Vongkhamphra. Together they had 2 children, Lert (deceased) and Leuane (deceased). 

He married Vy Vongkhamphra on April 30, 1965. Together, they have 6 children; 4 boys and 2 girls Janvith, Jack, Jirawat, Bo, Jariya Nicole, Ko, and Chio; 12 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. 

Leuane came to Amarillo on June 15, 1981. He attended Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand and Texas State Technical Institute. Leuane worked as a supervisor at West Texas University and also a technician at Cox Cable.
