Lesa "Jo" Tyler Bagwell, 65, of Amarillo, TX passed away on January 27, 2025.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 13, 2025, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Rev. Dr. Howard Griffin officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Jo was born on August 23, 1959 in Amarillo, TX to Lewis Gus and Ruth Tyler. She graduated from Claude High School in 1977. Jo attended Texas A&M University for 2 years and completed her degree at West Texas A&M University with a degree in marketing in 1982.
Jo enjoyed a successful marketing career throughout her life. She worked for several area banks, Amarillo Globe News, and BSA Hospital. Jo sat on many charity boards in the Amarillo community. She was compassionate, kind, and caring. Her beautiful smile lit up any room she walked in, and she was an amazing mother and friend to all who knew her.
Jo enjoyed gardening, watching cooking shows, and cooking. She loved traveling with her son Blake, watching football, and visiting Palo Duro Canyon.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ruth Tyler; sister, Helen Ruth Fisk; and brother, Bobby Jack Tyler.
She is survived by her beloved son, Blake Lewis Bagwell; sister, Terri Tyler Dysart and husband Haven of Castle Rock, CO; brother, David Tyler and wife Pat of Dripping Springs, TX; niece, Tara Simpson of Amarillo, TX; and nephews, Bobby Tyler or Amarillo, TX, Toby Tyler of Amarillo, TX, and Brandon Lyon of Littleton, CO.
Blake has requested all donations to go to ADVO Hope to Opportunities Foundation, 5241 S. Washington, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
