Lawrence Donald “Larry” Miller, 68, of Amarillo died Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Coulter Road Baptist Church with Aaron Summers officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Larry was born January 5, 1950, in Roswell, New Mexico to Donald and Ramona Miller. He married Linda Vickie Derrick on December 6, 1969, in Plainview.
Larry served in the Navy Reserve prior to going to active service as an electrician on the U.S.S. Ranger during the Vietnam War. He proudly served his country.
Larry and Linda moved to Amarillo in 1972. He worked for Southwestern Bell while working on an Associate’s degree at Amarillo College. Larry was the first in his family to receive a college degree. Upon graduation, he entered residential real estate and then later commercial real estate, where he earned many certifications. Later he went solo as his own boss buying and selling houses and accumulated an impressive portfolio of homes.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Miller, of the home; two sons, Jason Miller and wife Rebekah, and Josh Miller, both of Amarillo; a sister, Lawanda Corbett and husband John, of Amarillo; a brother, Lane Miller and wife Tana of Canyon; and three grandchildren, Jacolby, Shane, and Tyler.
