Lavelle Hunter

Lavelle Hunter, 94, of Dumas, TX died on September 2, 2024. 

Private burial will take place in Erick, Ok. Cremation and arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Lavelle was born on April 29, 1930, in Willow, Ok. to Paul and Euretha Watson. She graduated from High School in Sayre, Ok. She worked for many years as a phone operator until retirement. She enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling in the RV. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Hunter.

She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Countryman of Austin; a son, Herbert Hunter of Houston; four grandchildren, Sarah Lewis, Dr. Abigail Hunter and husband Tyler Bennett, Ellen Hunter, and Emily Hunter and husband Mats Stoerkersen; and two great-grandchildren, Kylan Lewis and Dawson Lewis.
