Larry Don Freeman, 67, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 12, 2018.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Michael Gilchrest officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Larry was born August 11, 1950, in Memphis, Texas to Alvis and Mavis Freeman. They moved to Lubbock where he graduated Lubbock High School in 1968. For many years, Larry worked in the fire protection business.
He loved the Dallas Cowboys, having cookouts, playing cards, woodworking, fishing, and was a gun enthusiast.
Larry was a devoted family man who loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jerita Fife; two brothers, Ted and Wendell Freeman; and two grandchildren, Peyton and Noah Burns.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Freeman; children, Kyle Sodd, Kristie and Barry Barrett, Nikki and Rhett Burns, and Mikeal and Tina Freeman; grandchildren, Zackery, Kourtney and Sixto, Christopher, Sawyer and Kris, Sammantha and Joel, Tanya, Tatum and Gentry; and great-grandkids, Analysa, Izaiah, JJ, Michael, Lincoln, Beaux and Liliana.
