Kenneth Earl Sanders, 47, of Amarillo died Thursday, September 13, 2018.
Services will be held at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, Wednesday, September 19th at 11:00 am, Dr. Howard Batson, senior pastor, First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Kenneth was born on April 6th, 1971 in Amarillo Texas.
Kenneth had a very strong personality, and was a very dominate member of his family. He was a boys ranch graduate; he loved camping and fishing, and spent many weekends with his dad in the mountains in Eagles Nest NM. He was very close to his parents and missed them deeply. Kenneth was a true “diamond in the rough”, tough on the outside, a big heart on the inside. He loved pranks and you could count on him to keep everyone laughing. He was a FIERCE FAN of wrestling, the Dallas Cowboys, and Nascar, particularly Jeff Gordon. His unconditional love for his wife, kids and grandkids has filled our hearts and memories. To our family, he was and remains to be larger than life. We have been blessed to call him hubby, daddy, and papa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anita “Katie” Warren, Jim Sanders, and Karen Sanders.
Survivors include his wife Tammy Sanders; one son, Tyler Meier-Sanders; three daughters, Lourin Wheeler and husband Gene, Brittaney Sanders, Courtney Sanchez and husband Juan; three sisters, Patricia Turpin and husband Junior, Tia Linton, and Jeannie Jones; one brother, Michael Lanier and wife Charla. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Wyatt, Jeffrey, Brantley and, Serenity. He also had two furbabies Phoebe and Sophie. He also had more “friends like family” than can be accounted for.
He will forever live in our hearts and memories.
