Karen Ann Irwin, 67, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dick Marcear officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Karen was born March 2, 1945, in Memphis to John and Doris Gibson. She married Jerry Irwin on Oct. 18, 1969, in Amarillo.
She graduated in 1963 from Amarillo High School. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Irwin; a son, Matt Irwin and wife Courtney of Amarillo; a sister, Lynn Dunavin and husband Jerry of Fort Worth; three nieces, Shannon Jostes and husband Scott, Tiffany Michels and husband Ken and Heather Dunavin; and two nephews, Shane Dunavin and Jamie Crowe and wife Patty. She was “Nonna” to her two granddaughters, Peyton and Piper.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Jack Duncan Rhodes Foundation, in care of Cory Ramsey, P.O. Box 1, Amarillo, TX 79105.
The family will have a visitation from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the funeral home.
