June Ferguson Bearden of Amarillo Texas passed away on April 22, 2025.
Visitation will be from 5-6:30 PM, Friday, April 25, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount. Graveside service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
June was born on December 13, 1940, in Wichita Falls, TX to Kinnith and Faye Ferguson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jeff Bearden and brother-in-law Truett Fietz. She is survived by her sister Jill Ferguson Fietz, who she lovingly called Baby Jill. Her nephews, Shaun Fietz and wife Pam, Shelby Fietz and wife Jordan. Great nephew Tristan Fietz, and two great nieces Brooklyn and Brinkley Fietz.
June completed elementary school, and junior high in Texas and high school in California. College study was at Santa Monica City College in California, Texas Tech University and Wayland Baptist University. She was a realtor with Caldwell Banker in Amarillo, worked for the Federal government with the VA, FFA, Weather Bureau, and FEMA. She taught undergraduate management courses at Wayland Baptist University as an adjunct instructor and at Amarillo College.
June was very involved with First Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and several committees.
Thank you to the staff of Granite Mesa in Marble Falls who took wonderful care of her. She was loved dearly by her family and everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
