Julia Acosta Minjares

Julia Acosta Minjares, 68, of Amarillo, TX died Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Julia will be available for viewing from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM and family will receive friends from 4-6:00 PM, both on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2025, at Renovacion Ministerio International, 3901 SE 10th Ave. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Julia was born April 12, 1956, in Mexico. She worked at Tyson Foods for twenty years. Julia loved helping others, cooking, baking, watching television, and improved her relationship with God. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Minjares; and her granddaughter, Andrea Elizalde.

Survivors include her daughter, America Elizalde and husband David; sisters, Evangelina Acosta and Librada Gomez Acosta; four brothers, Benjamin Acosta, Jose Luis Acosta, Pedro Gomez Acosta, and Ramon Gomez Acosta; grandson, Allen Minjares; and granddaughters, Sabrina and Devette Elizalde.

Julia estará disponible para ver de 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. y la familia recibirá a los amigos de 4:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m., ambos el jueves 23 de enero de 2025 en Boxwell Brothers, 2800 Paramount. Los servicios serán a las 11:00 a.m., el viernes 24 de enero de 2025, en Renovación Ministerio International, 3901 SE 10th Ave. El entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Llano. Los arreglos están a cargo de Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Julia nació el 12 de abril de 1956 en México. Trabajó en Tyson Foods durante veinte años. A Julia le encantaba ayudar a los demás, cocinar, hornear, ver televisión y mejoró su relación con Dios. 

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, José Minjares; y su nieta, Andrea Elizalde.

Entre los sobrevivientes se encuentran su hija, América Elizalde y su esposo David; las hermanas, Evangelina Acosta y Librada Gómez Acosta; cuatro hermanos, Benjamín Acosta, José Luis Acosta, Pedro Gómez Acosta y Ramón Gómez Acosta; nieto, Allen Minjares; y sus nietas, Sabrina y Devette Elizalde.
