On November 7, 2024, Josefina Salgado left this world as she lived in it; gracefully and surrounded in peace by her loved ones. To her family and friends, she was simply irreplaceable: a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and laughter were as constant as they were contagious. Josefina lived fully in every moment, never missing an opportunity to make a memory with those she loved. Whether she was with her children or grandchildren, she brought her joyful spirit and sense of adventure, always ready for whatever came next. Her boundless energy, matched by her beautiful smile, was a gift to all who had the privilege of being by her side. As a hairstylist, she dedicated many years to making others feel beautiful. To be around Josefina was to feel lifted and loved, her radiant smile not only something you saw but something you felt. Her laugh could fill any room with joy. Her family will remember her as the heart of their lives, a woman who loved with her whole soul and embraced each of them with unwavering support and light.
Josefina was preceded in death by her parents Gregorio and Eustacia Gabaldon. Brothers Onésimo Gabaldon, Lucio Sanchez, Cresencio and Pilar Gabaldon, sister Leandra Gabaldon. We believe they were there to welcome her home, embracing her with open arms and joy, guiding her into eternal sunshine. Just as she made every space feel brighter and warmer on earth, she now brings her love and light to her eternal home. While our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the beauty she left behind.
Her memory and spirit will live on through her surviving children, Charlie Salgado, Dora and Albert Delgado, Brenda Salgado, and Frank and Bertha Salgado. She had a beautiful family of grandchildren Seth, Logan, and Ethan Salgado, Albert and Amanda Delgado, Christian and Chelsie Delgado, Leighton and Katelynn Delgado, Nicole and Anthony Flores, Corina and Roman Rodgriguez, Francisco and Ansley Rivera, Marco and Ava Salgado and her great grandchildren Matthew, Elaina, Miranda, Addilyn, Tristan, Ariana, Jessie, Arlo, Danika, and Noa Her siblings Cruz Delgado, Paula Salcido, Delia Alarcon, Natalia Gee, Rosario Lyons, George Gabaldon and Mary Heisler will honor her legacy and memory.
