Josefina Rodríguez, de 61 años, de Dumas, murió el jueves 6 de febrero de 2025. 

Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo a las 10:00 a.m. el lunes 10 de febrero de 2025 at  Iglesa Bautista Latino Americana, 500 Oak, Dumas, Texas, con Antonio Chávez oficiando. Los arreglos están a cargo de Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox. 

Josefina nació en México el 15 de abril de 1963, hija de Enrique Durán y Emma Villanueva. Vivía en Dumas desde 1999 y trabajaba como cocinera en varios restaurantes. Le encantaba cocinar, hacer compras de segunda mano, decorar y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. Le sobreviven una hija, Iveth Dickson y su esposo Michael de Ardmore, Ok.; un hijo, Joe Rodríguez y su esposa Shaina de Waldorf, Maryland; tres hermanos, Gregoria Villanueva, Marcelo Villanueva y Oscar Villanueva; cinco hermanas, Lucía Vera, Soledad Villanueva, Adriana Durán, Sandra Durán y Beatriz Villanueva; y cinco nietos, Santana, Shiloh, Jesus, John-Michael y Cheyenne.

Josefina Rodriguez, 61, of Dumas, died on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Iglesa Bautista Latino Americana, 500 Oak, Dumas, Texas, with Antonio Chavez officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Josefina was born in Mexico on April 15, 1963 to Enrique Duran and Emma Villanueva. She had lived in Dumas since 1999 and worked as a cook at several restaurants. She loved to cook, bargain thrift shop, decorate, and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Iveth Dickson and husband Michael of Ardmore, Ok.; a son, Joe Rodriguez and wife Shaina of Waldorf, Md.; three brothers, Gregoria Villanueva, Marcelo Villanueva, and Oscar Villanueva; five sisters, Lucia Vera, Soledad Villanueva, Adriana Duran, Sandra Duran, and Beatrice Villanueva; and five grandchildren, Santana, Shiloh, Jesus, John-Michael, and Cheyenne.
