Jose Alfredo Vera-Perez, of Amarillo Texas has reunited with his family in
Heaven on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 after 64 years of life. Son of Refugio Vera and Epitancia Perez born in the city of Emiliano Zapata Pabellón de Arteaga, Aguascalientes, Mexico on May 1, 1957.
Jose Alfredo leaves his memory to be cherished by surviving family members; two brothers, Arturo Vera of Post, Texas and Guadalupe Vera of Carrollton, Texas; sister, Rosario Mora of California; and wife, of 29 years, Aleselda Anes Vera; and loving cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jose Alfredo was preceded in death by Geraldo Vera and Martin Vera of Mexico; and sister Bertha Trinidad also of Mexico.
He moved to the United States and resided in Texas since 1990, where he worked at Jackson Brothers Meat Locker in Post, Texas. He later met his future companion and wife, Aleselda, since December 1992 in Amarillo, Texas. Nicknamed “Jije” (pronounced “HeHe”), enjoyed walks around his neighborhood, gardening, taking daily drives, and talks with his best friend “Mole” Gonzales. “JIje” also enjoyed watching and cheering on the Mexican Soccer Team and loved baseball. He will be dearly missed and always loved.
Rosary will be on Wednesday March 30, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. and Service on Thursday March 31, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
