Joleen Christine Arrowood, 67, went to heaven on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Joleen was born in Macon, Missouri on August 31, 1951. Joleen was a very strong person who worked hard her entire life. She moved to Amarillo in 1974 where she spent many years working as a unit clerk in the cardiac care unit at Northwest Texas Hospital while she raised her three daughters. In 1978, she met the love of her life, Ellis. Joleen and Ellis enjoyed many years together in Forest City, North Carolina. Joleen worked at A&E Products in Forest City until she returned to Amarillo where she lived for the last few years.
Joleen is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ellis Garland Arrowood.
Survivors include Joleen’s sister Linda Spies of Amarillo; three daughters, Dawn Williams, Misty Greene and Wendy Dysart; five grandchildren, Taylor Feagan, Dallas Duggins, Brittany Smith, Trey Williams and Miranda Dysart; as well as one great-grandson, Jayden Holt. Joleen will forever be missed by those that knew and loved her.
The family suggests any remembrances be in the form of donations to BSA Hospice of the Southwest or other hospice organization of choice. The family is forever thankful to the nurses, doctors, and staff of BSA Hospice for the amazing love and care they provided to Joleen.
