John Neill Killham, age 81, formerly of Amarillo, Texas passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 13, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with John Rusk officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, Texas.
John was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and attended school in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of high school and was stationed in Taiwan. After his service in the Navy, he went to work at a winery in California with his good friend, Ray Stenzel. John then moved to Michigan where his brother Jim lived. He later moved to Amarillo, Texas where he owned a propane business. John had a great sense of humor and also a big heart. He was an avid reader who enjoyed visiting museums and learning about history. John loved beautiful sunsets, camping, traveling, and taking trips to casinos with his wife, Patti. He was also a big fan of the Nebraska Huskers college football team and enjoyed golf. John and his dear friend David Bryant, went on many hunting and fishing trips over the years. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Edith Killham; sisters, Carol Stahl, Judy Torczon, and Connie Brehm; brothers, George and Jim Killham; his former wife, Sandy; and son, Jim.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patti; son, Shane Killham; and 5 grandchildren, Price, Elly, Wiley, Brady, and Karson.
