Joaquin P. Holguin

Joaquin P. Holguin, 91, of Dumas, died on Thursday, October 10, 2024. 

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at First Baptist Church with Matt Price officiating. Burial will follow at the Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox.

Joaquin was born on December 22, 1932 in Parral Chihuahua, Mexico to Joaquin Holguin I and Juanita Payan Holguin. He moved to Dumas in 1967 and retired from Cactus Feeders after many years. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop and loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Holguin.

He is survived by two sons, Joaquin Holguin and wife Jackie, Edward Holguin and wife Sandra, all of Dumas; three daughters, Juanita Diaz and husband Bernie of Amarillo, Anna Holguin of Dumas, and Elizabeth Kent and husband Terry of Dumas; seventeen grandchildren, Josh, Jakayla, Erik, David, Diego, Dina, Noah, Stephen, Elizabeth, Aimee, Aaron, Alex, Candace, Edward, Paige, Patrick, and Niki; and thirteen great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 11, 2024.
