Jimmy Carol Rogers

Jimmy Rogers, 82, of Amarillo, TX passed away September 13, 2024.

Memorial service will be at 4:30 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. 

Jimmy was born January 20, 1942 in Childress, TX to his dad, J.D. Rogers and mother, Jessie Mae Langford-Rogers both from Childress, TX, and they both preceded him in death. 

Jimmy worked and retired from Alamo Carpet after 44 years. He was a great carpenter and also built his family home himself during that time. He worked hard, always out in the yard planting trees, building ponds, and always trying to make nature with everything better. His family was very proud of him, he was always working to make life the best he could for them. 

Jimmy married his wife, Betty on November 25, 1961 in Amarillo, TX. They were married 62 ½ years. Together, they raised three children, daughter, Princess Belinda Estrada and husband Guy; granddaughter, Leilani; daughter, Carol Lee Casper; grandsons, Sean Casper and Jeffrey Casper; five great-grandchildren; son, Jimmy Rogers II and wife Summer; two granddaughters, Autumn and Addy Rogers.
