Jeter George Dickinson, III, 93, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on October 17, 2024.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Jeter was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Flo Virginia (Stein) and Jeter “Dick” George Dickinson, Jr. He worked as a Petroleum Engineer.
Jeter was a life-long resident of Amarillo, Texas. He was an avid bowler and was on a bowling league at Western Bowl. Jeter was a creature of habit. He would do the same thing every day of the week at the same time. One thing he enjoyed greatly was going to Dyer’s Bar-B-Que and seeing his friends.
Jeter was kind, loyal, and helpful to each person he called a friend.
Jeter was preceded in death by his parents, Flo and Dick Dickinson; and sister, Mary Margaret Wood.
He is survived by his nephew, CV Wood and wife Brenda; nieces, Debby Wood and partner Mike Simpson, Kelli Bropes and husband Michael, and Johnna Walion; adopted daughter, Kathy Coronett; and adopted granddaughter, Echo Reining and fiancé Nicolas Salmeron.
