Jesus Lugo was born on November 30th, 1936, in Santa Rita, Chihuahua Mexico to Matilde Lugo and Cruz Rivera.  He spent his early years in Mexico before migrating to the United States at the age of 34.

Jesus Lugo wound up in the big little town of Friona, Texas where he would live the majority of his life.  This is where he met his wife and raised a family.  He went on to have 3 children, Jesus Rolando Lugo, Javier Lugo, and Rocio Lugo.

Jesus Lugo went on to be employed at Cargill upon his arrival and spent the next 40 years there until his retirement.  This was where he touched so many lives and created several friendships throughout the decades.

Jesus Lugo enjoyed the outdoors and could be seen walking the little town for hours.  He enjoyed a hot cup of coffee no matter how hot it was outside.  He enjoyed drinking his coffee with a regular straw (not a coffee straw) and drank it like it was nothing.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jesus Lugo was a kind soul.  He always wanted you to feel welcome.  If he offered you something to eat, he would say “hechate un taco.”  Every convenience store was called a 7-11 and he loved to laugh.

Jesus Lugo is survived by his wife, Yolanda Lugo; his children, Jesus Lugo, Javier Lugo, and Rocio Lugo Carrion; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
