Jerry Pittman – April 13, 2018

Jerry Pittman, 76, of Amarillo died Friday, April 13, 2018.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Crossroads Country Church, 14425 FM 1541, with Bob Miller officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jerry was born August 6, 1941, in Wellington, Texas to Clarence and Iva Pittman.  He married Carolyn Hall at Sandy Baptist Church on September 29, 1962, in Hollis, Oklahoma.

Jerry worked for ConAgra, Moorehead Foods, and Jimmy Dean.  He was a member of Crossroads Country Church.  Jerry enjoyed joking around with friends and staff at The Craig retirement village.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Pittman, of Amarillo; a son, Gregory Pittman and wife Tanya, of Edmond, OK; a daughter, Tammy Jones and husband Darrel of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, Reagan Pittman, of Edmond, OK, Heather Branesky and husband Chris, of Oklahoma City, OK, Zackariah Simon and wife Sarah of Amarillo, and Bailey Holtman and husband Shaun, of Amarillo; nine great-grandchildren, Sofya, Jazmyn, Ruby, Elijah, Jonah, Aahliyah, Ashton, Zoie and Maddox; three sisters-in-law, Wanda Emerson and husband Carl, of Amarillo, Brenda Donoho and husband Mike, of Mt. Wilson, NV, and Judy Rath and husband David, of Altus, OK; and many nieces and nephews.

    The world lost a wonderful man in Jerry Pittman. He could brighten any room with his wonderful smile. We had many fun times together watching the Lady Buffs games.

    Carol I am so sorry for your loss. Jerry was such a gentlemen and a great guy. He always had a great big smile for everyone he met. We will miss him. My thoughts and prays are with you.
