Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Jerry was born July 9, 1933, in Turkey, TX to Jack and Reona Holcomb. For 33 years, he was a machinist at the Texaco Refinery. Jerry was an Army veteran and a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ.
Jerry married Margene Thamert on Dec. 31, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family would like to thank the medical personnel and caregivers from BSA Hospital, Vibra Rehabilitation Hospital, Amarillo Center for Skilled Care, and BSA Hospice of the Southwest for the caring support for our precious daddy.
Survivors include his wife, Margene Holcomb, of the home; a daughter, Gail Johns and husband Bob, of Amarillo; a son, Gary Holcomb and wife, Kimberly, of Amarillo; a sister, Jareene Giescke and husband Leon, of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Abby Williams and husband Colt, Kaitlyn Tullo and Kutter Maxwell; one great-grandchild, Ryder Williams; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to World Bible School, c/o Bell Avenue Church of Christ, Amarillo, TX.
