Jerry was born March 23, 1935, in Guymon, Oklahoma, to Dale and Phyllis McClenagan. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Martha and their four children (Deryl and family of Eureka, California, Don and family of Smithers, B. C., Canada, LaFonda and family of Celina, Texas and Rick and family of Amarillo, Texas), twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Jerry touched many people with his friendliness and humor, and with his passion in writing and speaking.

Jerry was a unique and special person. I have not seen him for at least four decades but I have cherished his friendship and often laughed at his jokes and his sense of humor. I went to Bible College with him and he and I shared good times of humor and loved sharing our walk with Jesus. I shall always fondly remember this good man.
My prayers for all his family and special expression to you Martha.Gods grace to you.

I loved Jerry and his sweet, kind and giving spirit. I loved so much singing with him in a quarter that was formed by Winston Barker several years ago. I appreciate most of all his willingness to serve the Lord in whatever capacity the Lord called upon him to serve. I will miss this Brother in Christ; however, I look forward to seeing him again upon the return of the Lord at the happening of the first resurrection of the Blessed and Holy Dead. Well done Brother!!!

Jerry was a true friend. I loved his since of humor and the long talks we had. Him and Martha both signed one of the books on Martha’s quilts that he wrote for Christmas one year. I cherish their gift and I always will. Everyone at Roasters Coffee Cafe that knew Jerry miss him. Jerry told me to write a book on my life and can’t think of a better time to start it.

I was not aware of Jerry’s death until the obituary this morning. (Tuesday). Otherwise I would have attended the service. I’m so sad to hear this. Haven’t seen Jerry in many, many years, and it makes me sad that I didn’t make an effort to do so. To the family – my memories of going to your home place near Hardesty as a child are precious. Picking strawberries out of the patch, fun play times, and lots of laughs. May God be close in His comfort during your time of loss. My love from Gruver, Carolyn.
