Jennie S. Lee – January 13, 2013

Jennie S. Lee, 65, of Amarillo, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jennie was born in Bloomington, IL and raised in Gibson City, IL to Clarence V. Cothern and Anne M. Acree Cothern, which preceded her in death.

She had been a member of the Junior Women Club and president of Sunbonnett Sues.  Her favorite was Rhetts Darlin Divas (Red Hatters), Texas Panhandle Builders Association, and was a member of numerous animal organizations.

Jennie had worked at True Value in Gibson City, Barnes-Smith Builders Supply and at RSM Builders Supply.  She loved meeting new people and loved her customers.

Jennie also loved being a mother and Nannie to her grandchildren.  She adored her loving husband, Sylvester who took such good care of her.

Survivors include her husband, Sylvester Lee, of Amarillo; a daughter, Tammy Moses and husband Ralph of Amarillo; a son, Michael Allen and wife Jenny of Gibson City, IL; a brother, Glenn Cothern and wife Joan of Elliott, IL; and four grandchildren, Alexandra Simms, and Austin, Keegan and Payton Allen.
