Jeffrey Lyn Bailey

Jeffrey Lyn Bailey, 63, of Panhandle, Texas, passed away on June 3, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 17, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Jimmy McClellan, his cousin, and David Addison, his nephew, will be speakers. Cremation was done by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jeff was born in Dalhart, Texas, on December 21, 1959, to Eileen Palmer and Bill Bailey.  He was raised in Dalhart and Amarillo. Jeff graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1978.  He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves.

Jeff was a medical X-ray technician from 1986 to 2001.  He worked at Pantex from 2001 to the present in NDE and management.

Jeff married his wife, Susan Bailey, on April 4, 1991, in Canyon, Texas.

His family meant the world to him.  Jeff loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He loved to do anything outdoors.  He loved to smoke meat and host gatherings.  His family will greatly miss him.

Jeff was preceded in death by his dad, Bill Bailey; both sets of grandparents; and numerous other relatives.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Bailey of Panhandle, Texas; his mother, Eileen Palmer of Waxahachie, Texas; a daughter, Holly Gillispie and husband, Kevin of Amarillo, Texas; a son, Kyle Harrison and wife, Joni of Panhandle, Texas; grandchildren, Tristen Gillispie and wife Makenzie of Dallas, Texas, Baylor Gillispie of Amarillo, Texas, and Tylar Harrison of Panhandle Texas; sisters, Lisa Valdez and husband John of Mansfield, Texas, and April Bailey of Amarillo, Texas; brothers, Mark Bailey and wife Letty of Harlingen, Texas, Kelly Bailey and wife Monica of Waxahachie, Texas, and Kevin Palmer and wife Lauren of Canton, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be at 18900 Stone Creek, Amarillo, TX 79124.
