Jean Ward

Jean Ward, 85 of Dumas, died on Thursday, April 18, 2024.   

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Dumas Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.

 Jean was born on October 28, 1938, in Borger, TX. to J.L. and Pearl Boyd.  She graduated from Dumas High School in 1957.  

She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing cards, and especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandson.

She married Coleman Ward on March 18, 1966.  He preceded her in death on May 27, 2016.

She is survived by two daughters, Kim Rehkopf and husband Steve of Dumas and Brandi Guggenheim of Aledo; three sons, Clay Guthrie and wife Kathy of Fritch, Duke Ward and wife Stephanie of Amarillo, and Waylon Ward and wife Cathey of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Linsey Rehkopf Jennings and husband Nathan and Brent Rehkopf and wife Tootsie, all of Dumas, Jarret Ward and Ella Ward, both of Amarillo, Gracie Guggenheim and Abbi Guggenheim, both of Aledo; and one great-grandchild, Drake Ryder Robinett of Dumas.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 22, 2024.
