Jean Florence Eggers

Jean Florence Eggers, 92, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on March 9, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Jean was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 22, 1932, to Agnes and Arthur Morrison. She married Ralph Eggers, Jr. in Chicago, Illinois on June 14, 1952.

Jean was a wife and homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed raising her five children. She would later decide to put in a pool at her house and worked at Mervyn’s to pay it. Once the pool was paid for, Jean was able to quit her job and enjoy the pool with family and friends. Jean was very involved in the Catholic Church and would help with the CCD program. She loved to dance and was a wonderful seamstress. She would make custom Barbie and doll clothing for her daughter Michelle.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eggers Jr.; and sisters, Helen, Dorothy, and Shirley.

She is survived by her sons, Arthur Eggers and wife Jeanette, Timothy Eggers and wife Judy, Vincent Eggers and wife Angela, and Stephan Eggers and wife Treska; daughter, Michelle Wrubleski and husband Bill; grandchildren, Brett, Aaron, Natasha, Amanda, Dillon, and Danielyelle; eleven great-grandchildren; and close friends Nancy Chapman, and Lisa and Cory Mulder.
