Javier Hernandez, Jr.

Javier Hernandez, Jr., 31, of Amarillo, TX died Sunday, July 17, 2022.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Gomez as celebrant.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.   Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Javier was born in El Paso, TX on April 5, 1991, to Javier and Norma Hernandez.  He attended Palo Duro High School and earned his welding degree.

Javier owned and operated a lawncare business.  He loved to spend time with his family and his kids.

Javier loved God. He enjoyed learning new things and found joy in helping people and always with a big smile. That smile would brighten up any room. His charismatic personality was so big that he would touch anyone’s heart.

“His heart was too big for this world.”

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Zacarias Hernandez.

Survivors include his daughter, Genesis Hernandez, of Amarillo, TX; his son, Javier Hernandez, of Amarillo, TX; his mother, Norma Marin, of Amarillo, TX; his father Javier Hernandez, of Amarillo, TX; grandparents,  Victor and Rosa Marin of Amarillo, TX, and Teresa Hernandez of El Paso, TX; three sisters, Norma Hernandez, Jennifer Hernandez, and Victoria Moreno, all of Amarillo, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
