JaNice Smith – July 29, 2012


JaNice Smith, 69, of Amarillo, died Sunday, July 29, 2012.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2012, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
JaNice was born Nov. 4, 1942, in Portales, New Mexico to LZ and Elise Rolan.  She graduated from Portales High School on May 23, 1961.  JaNice had been a hairdresser and worked for the City of Amarillo before retiring in 2004 from the U.S. Postal Service.
She loved her family and to travel, garden, and photography; most of all, she loved her grandkids and her Lord Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, LZ Rolan and her mother, Elise Rolan.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Smith; two daughters, Shelly Lemmon and husband Jeff of Dallas and Kathy Kwapil of Amarillo; a son, Richard Baldock and wife Monica Delugo of Canyon; six grandchildren, Brittany Lemmon, Emily Lemmon, Trinity Baldock, Maison Kwapil, Grady Kwapil and Faith Anderson; three brothers, Travis Rolan, Jack Rolan and Joe Rolan; and a sister, Ruthie McKensey.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79105.
