Janetta Sue Harlow, 66, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on August 16, 2023 with her husband and four children by her side.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in New Hermon Cemetery in Leedey, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.
Janetta was born in Lodi, California on April 11, 1957, to Jean and Leroy Touchstone. She was raised on a Dairy Farm in Leedey, Oklahoma. Janetta spent her free time fishing with her dad and reading, she loved to read.
Janetta married Howard Harlow at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas on August 9, 1986. She and Howard enjoyed traveling with one another and going on cruises.
Janetta worked multiple jobs in her 33 years at the City of Amarillo, but she was most proud of her time working for the Amarillo Police Department. While at the Amarillo Police Department, she worked in their payroll office and then ended her career as the Secretary for the Chief of Police.
Janetta loved watching movies, and playing Bunko, but most of all, she loved attending garage sales. She could always find a good bargain, and if you were in need of something, she could find it for you.
Family meant the world to Janetta. She enjoyed coaching various sports, but most of all coaching her sons in soccer. If Amarillo had any events at the Civic Center, Janetta would take her children. After her children were grown, she had a group of friends she would go to shows with. If those friends were not available, her children where happy to fill their place. Every Saturday the family would share lunch together. She loved spending time with her children, but once the grandchildren came, they were her top priority. Janetta would have done anything for her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing games with them, building puzzles, and she made the best pancakes. Once the grandchildren began to play sports, she could often be found at their soccer, baseball, basketball, golf, and sometimes even football games. Janetta loved to show off her grandchildren and would love it when they would visit her at work.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Touchstone; and sister, Brenda Touchstone.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Harlow; children, Angie Baldwin, Amy Abbasov and husband Mikail, Bryce Harlow and wife Kalee, and Mason Harlow and wife Leann; grandchildren, Blaize Baldwin, Haydon Branscum, McCoy Baldwin, Jude Abbasov, Joplin Abbasov, Jax Abbasov, Raelynn Harlow, Brynlee Harlow, Oaklee Harlow, and Paislee Harlow; mother, Jean Touchstone; brother, Keith Touchstone and wife Janice; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
