Marsha, I am so saddened to read of your great void in this loss. Grieve-as-you must; not-as-others will tell you is right, wrong or indifferent. I will not tell you it is an easy road as my experience of almost 16-years tells me but hold to God’s unchanging hand, He is always faithful and true to see you through whatever. May He bless you greatly in this.

    Father,
    I-am-only human. I need-the-touch of-human-
    companionship. Sorely-I-miss this-one-I love.
I pray, O Jesus Thou wilt reveal-to-me unseen-
    presences. Help-me to-know how-close my-
    loved-one is for-I-know they cannot-be far-
    away.
    Make real-to-me contact-of spirit-to-
    spirit re-establishing lost-fellowship for-
    which my-heart-yearns. Give-to-me faith
    to shine through-my-tears.
    Plant peace-and-hope within-my-heart.
    Point-me-to joy for the-great-reunion.
    Until then, enable-me-to live as-happily-as
    possible and worthily-of-those who-are-
    gone.
    In the name-of-Him who-is-the Lord-of-
    life, I pray.
    Amen-and-amen
