Lee McLean, 75, of Amarillo, TX died on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
A Celebration of Life/Memorial will be held in a couple of weeks, the family will announce the details later.
“Jim” was born on April 21, 1948, in Amarillo, TX to Clyde and Virginia (Schwerman) McLean. He was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1966. After attending auto mechanics vocational courses while in high school, he spent the majority of his lifetime working in auto body and was barely tolerating retired life.
Jim loved his friends and family and was always willing to give a helping hand or a hug when needed. He loved to be busy, the races, hunting, and deer camp. A special interest was the Make-A-Wish Chili Cook-Off.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Virginia McLean; one sister, Nancy McLean; two brothers, Larry and Mike McLean; one grandson, Russell Ginn; bonus children, Deborah and Richard Dahl.
Survivors include his daughters, Staci Seymour and husband Jimmy of Stigler, OK, and Jami Fowler of Broken Arrow, OK. He was also blessed with bonus children from subsequent marriages whom he loved and cherished: bonus daughters, Kim Dahl-Jones and husband Jeff of Queen Creek, AZ, Patti Dahl of Moore, OK, and Amanda Hardin of Amarillo, TX, and bonus son, Ray Hardin and wife Tina of Bushland, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Johnson and husband Charlie of Amarillo, TX; brother, Bill McLean of Eagles Nest, NM; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
